Heidelberg Alumni India (HAIN): The Network for students, scientists, staff, fellows and friends of Heidelberg University
HAIN connects current and former students, researchers, teaching and administrative staff and fellows (long as well as short-term) with Heidelberg University and among each other.
We invite all alumni who live or work in India or in the neighbouring countries to engage with HAIN and the university. The network provides a chance to reconnect with former fellow students or colleagues, to meet new alumni, to stay informed about research and developments in Heidelberg, and to be invited to events and programmes of the university in India. Participation in HAIN is free of charge and only a few clicks away: please sign up via our online platform HAInet.
In case you have not studied, worked or done research at Heidelberg University but you nevertheless maintain strong and long-standing relations with the university and you are interested in HAIN, please get in touch with us via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
HAIN has been established in 2012 and is part of Heidelberg Alumni International (HAI), the central alumni initiative of Heidelberg University. HAI is responsible for all alumni activities around the world and across all subject areas. HAIN is jointly coordinated by HAI and the HCSA.
HCSA has been launched in November 2009 by Rector Prof. Dr. Bernhard Eitel in New Delhi and is one of the four foreign branch offices of Heidelberg University around the world. It aims to extend and intensify the University cooperation with partner institutions in South Asia and to stay in touch with its alumni in the region.
