Past EventWeb Talk: Global Implications of the COVID 19 Pandemic to the rising Domestic Violence against Women

Heidelberg Centre South Asia (HCSA) in cooperation with The Liaison office of Freie University Berlin, University of Cologne and Max Planck Society organized the web talk. In the panel discussion the speakers from India and Germany exchanged information on domestic violence against women in their respective cultures, the role of education in empowering women and transforming society’s attitudes towards the inequalities of gender. In addition to this the Representatives of Freie Universität Berlin, University of Cologne, Max Planck Society and University of Heidelberg were available to discuss the possibilities to develop innovative functionalities to foster cooperation amongst experts from India and Germany and explore prospects of applying for joint research funding opportunities for this topic.
