21st October 2024 Fireside Chat: Connecting India and Germany through Neurosciences

Organised in cooperation with The German Consulate Bengaluru, The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences India (NIMHANS), Fraunhofer India Office, the Fireside Chat brought together academic and industry leaders from Germany and India viz. Pro-Rektor, Prof. Weller, Vice Dean Research Medical Faculty, Prof. Kuner, Director NIMHANS, Prof. Murthy, Director CBR, Prof. Hari and Head Internationalisation of Research, SIEMENS Healthineers India, Dr. Kollegal. The experts deliberated on topics such as Heidelberg University’s International Strategy wrt Indo-German cooperations, perceived Indo-German partnership models, neuroscience research ecosystems in Germany and in India, setting up Fundamental-Translational research cooperations, Academia-industry collaborations and the ongoing research and diagnostics effort within the area of neurology, for early identification, diagnosis and management of diseases. The session was moderated by Dr. Suboor Bakht, Director HCSA and Ms. Anandi Iyer, Director, Fraunhofer India Office. The event was a success with a turnout of over 150 audience from the subject and related areas, researchers, students and industry representatives.
