February 24, 2025 Indo-German initiative: Heidelberg-Hyderabad Hub in Advanced Chemical Education (H3ACE) at IIT Hyderabad

Innovation and Transfer, Prof. Dr. Katja-Patsel Mattern, Heidelberg university sets up H3ACE as a long-term Indo-German initiative in Hyderabad in cooperation with the Indian institutions of eminence, IIT Hyderabad and TIFR Hyderabad. The University of Hyderabad (UoHyd), a long-standing scientific cooperation partner of Heidelberg University will join the initiative from Q2 & Q3 will see joining of The International Institute of Information Technology – Hyderabad (IIIT Hyderabad) and CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT Hyderabad), thereby growing the Hub into a full-fledged Academia-Academia and Academia-Industry partnership model. The hub aims to strengthen bilateral and multilateral Academia-Academia and Academia-Industry partnerships, fostering chemical research, innovation, technology transfer, and student employability. A key initiative of the joint initiative is the establishment of a long-term Indo-German exchange program at the master’s and graduate levels, fostering education, training, and cross-cultural learning in advanced chemistry. The Hub is anchored by Heidelberg Centre South Asia (HCSA). The Hub launch was preceded by a high-profile press conference. The Hub was launch was attended by the dignitaries, Telangana State Secretary, President Vijnana Bharti, German Consul General Chennai, S & T Councillor, Indian Embassy Berlin and leaders from Indian Institutions of Eminence.
