Past EventIndo-German Workshop in the field of Public Health

An Indo-German workshop was organised in Heidelberg from 25th – 30th September. Heidelberg Centre South Asia (HCSA) was the co-organiser of the workshop.

Heidelberg Institute of Global Health (HIGH) in partnership with Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) Kochi in South India, were running International Virtual Academic Collaboration (IVAC) Program funded by DAAD (since October 2020) in order to develop digital collaborative formats in teaching global health in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. This program also helped faculties of both institutions to develop digital teaching competency and internationalize existing global health curriculum enhancing student learning experience. The recent visit of AIMS faculties and senior management of the Institute to Heidelberg between 26-30th September 2022 was planned to capture lessons learnt from both IVAC projects and understand future ambitions to further collaborate in similar initiatives.
