18th-19th November 2024 First Indo-German Philosophy Workshop, “Human Dignity and the Overflow of Data in the Technocratic AI World
Organized by Heidelberg University and Delhi University and co-funded by DWIH New Delhi, this workshop, the first of its kind, was academically very productive and enriching for both speakers and attendees in terms of its objective and successful execution. The aim of the workshop was to strengthen the intellectual and philosophical bond between Germany and India, particularly between Heidelberg University and Delhi University and it was successful in that. Through this workshop, it
was tried to build a collaborative bridge between Indian and German philosophers and academics. It provided a platform to connect scholars from various disciplines such as Philosophy, Computer Science and Technology. Discussions were held by speakers and attendees addressing a set of relevant questions related to human dignity and Artificial Intelligence. Possibilities for future collaboration between India and Germany were also explored and it was decided that this initiative in the form of Philosophy Workshop should continue to achieve more objectives of collaboration and research in the field of Philosophy.
