Heidelberg Centre South Asia
The Heidelberg Centre South Asia (HCSA) was inaugurated by the Rector of Heidelberg University on 17 November 2009. By establishing the HCSA, the university seeks to enhance academic cooperation with South Asia across all faculties of the university. The centre focuses on promoting cooperation in research and teaching, exchange at faculty and student levels, provide information on research and study opportunities, organise joint events and promote alumni networking.
Sexual Harassment at Higher Education Institutions - A web talk
Heidelberg Centre South Asia (HCSA) in cooperation with FU Berlin and Max Planck Group is organizing a web talk on sexual harassment at higher education institutions. Prof. Dr. Christiane Schwieren from Alfred Weber Institute of Economics who is also the Equal Opportunity Commissioner of Heidelberg University and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Heidelberg Institute for Mediation will share the centre stage along with speakers from FU Berlin, Max Planck Group and Indian institutions.
Scientific Talk: Coupled Shallow Surface and Subsurface Flow
Prof. Dr. Peter Bastian is on visit to India. During his visit he will engage in scientific discussions with PIs from Indian Institute of Science and National Centre for Biological Sciences. On November 24th Prof. Bastian will deliver the Scientific Talk titled, “Coupled Shallow Surface and Subsurface Flow” at the Indian Insitute of Science in Bangalore.
